I got a message from Amazon to inform me the release date of the latter had been put back a week or so.

I'm just hoping I receive it, and the Criterion Steernbergs before Christmas.

Was this a recent message or are you referring to the push back from the 22nd to the 29th as Hmv sent me a message yesterday saying mine's in the post. My Sternbergs are MIA still though after 5 weeks, from an amazon market place purchase. Grumble grumble.

Still waiting here North of Boston on the East Coast.

5-6 days is common, so this is a disappointingly long wait :(

To be fair to MOC, the past week in the UK the postal service seems to have gone into melt down and now the snow has arrived. I've been waiting for discs (from other retailers) for over a week now.

Just got this e-mail from my fiancee:

"So I guess you can try your new Blu-Ray player today...... "

So that means Metropolis has arrived to Ottawa.

Was that from Eureka or AmazonUK? I'm also around Boston and am waiting my preorder from Eureka.
From Eureka.

Weird things are happening in general -- I got charged customs fees for an order from Amazon Japan for the first time ever (must be why this lingered for several days in customs in Alaska). And this was only a $100 or so order (not counting mailing costs).

Package from MoC here on the East Coast. Great, I thought - Metropolis at last!

But it was Shogun Assassin! Very nice it is, too - I thought The Human Centipede turned out great, and this one is really nice too.

But where's poor ol' Metropolis?

Got my steelbook version in Western Massachusetts today. The packaging is gorgeous but I can't figure out how to open it. Nothing will make it open easily, and I don't want to damage it. Help!

Gently pull the short green paper flap away from the spine and it opens on that very same spine. Don't try to pull open the other spine which has the proper film title printed in it.

Well, Kevin was on holiday during the last week or so. He might still be out, or back and hasn't caught up with his mail yet.
Got a response today and indeed Kevin is catching up on emails now, plus he's sending a replacement. Thanks guys :D
Replacement received today! Thanks again, MoC.

Hi guys and girls, anyone who has not received their steel book by Thursday this week. Please could you email [email protected] and title the email "Steelbook not arrived" just drop your address in the message body, and we will arrange replacements.

Rest assured every order has been shipped, but I'm getting reports of crazy delivery times from the folks that are emailing me when they are receiving them.

This could, or could not be relevant?

Thanks for your patience if you are one of those still waiting for it to arrive.

Thanks

Kevin

Kevin,

Did the T-shirts ship with the steel books? I received my steel book yesterday, but no shirt. Ordered an XL on 2 September with the steel book.

T-shirts were shipped ages ago. Please email me, at the above address with your details, and a brief outline of what you have/haven't received.

Similar to the post a little bit above, I pre-ordered the Metropolis dual steelbook when it was first offered and received Metropolis late last week week but not the t-shirt. Will contact the email listed.

Oddly, I received my Sunrise BD this morning (ordered about 4 days ago) but not the City Girl BD that I ordered on the first day of the sale.

Just a quick note to say that my pre-ordered steelbook did finally show up today at my place in Northern VA. (E-mailing about a possible replacement, as mentioned earlier this week in this thread, had been on my to-do list for this weekend if I didn't see it.)

My regular Metropolis bluray ordered from the most recent deal (along with Vengeance is Mine BD) arrived in a very timely manner this past week, no issues at all.

So.. has anybody West of the Rockies received their Metropolis yet? Three weeks seems a tad long, but still I wait.

I'm on the east coast and still haven't gotten it.

But I have quickly received two different Amazon.co.uk orders placed well after the Metropolis steelbook purportedly shipped. So...

Did you guys email Kevin at Eureka yet?

I still haven't received Metropolis either, though I did receive La signora di tutti--which supposedly shipped around the same time--on Friday.
