I got a message from Amazon to inform me the release date of the latter had been put back a week or so.
I'm just hoping I receive it, and the Criterion Steernbergs before Christmas.
Was this a recent message or are you referring to the push back from the 22nd to the 29th as Hmv sent me a message yesterday saying mine's in the post. My Sternbergs are MIA still though after 5 weeks, from an amazon market place purchase. Grumble grumble.
To be fair to MOC, the past week in the UK the postal service seems to have gone into melt down and now the snow has arrived. I've been waiting for discs (from other retailers) for over a week now.

Was that from Eureka or AmazonUK? I'm also around Boston and am waiting my preorder from Eureka.
From Eureka.
Weird things are happening in general -- I got charged customs fees for an order from Amazon Japan for the first time ever (must be why this lingered for several days in customs in Alaska). And this was only a $100 or so order (not counting mailing costs).

Got my steelbook version in Western Massachusetts today. The packaging is gorgeous but I can't figure out how to open it. Nothing will make it open easily, and I don't want to damage it. Help!

Gently pull the short green paper flap away from the spine and it opens on that very same spine. Don't try to pull open the other spine which has the proper film title printed in it.
Hi guys and girls, anyone who has not received their steel book by Thursday this week. Please could you email [email protected] and title the email "Steelbook not arrived" just drop your address in the message body, and we will arrange replacements.
Rest assured every order has been shipped, but I'm getting reports of crazy delivery times from the folks that are emailing me when they are receiving them.

T-shirts were shipped ages ago. Please email me, at the above address with your details, and a brief outline of what you have/haven't received.
Similar to the post a little bit above, I pre-ordered the Metropolis dual steelbook when it was first offered and received Metropolis late last week week but not the t-shirt. Will contact the email listed.
Just a quick note to say that my pre-ordered steelbook did finally show up today at my place in Northern VA. (E-mailing about a possible replacement, as mentioned earlier this week in this thread, had been on my to-do list for this weekend if I didn't see it.)
My regular Metropolis bluray ordered from the most recent deal (along with Vengeance is Mine BD) arrived in a very timely manner this past week, no issues at all.
