This is the cover for Fox's upcoming Laura Blu-ray. I couldn't find a larger photo, but perhaps that's for the best. Apparently, that's supposed to be Gene Tierney that Dana Andrews is embracing.

Did someone at Fox mistakenly use this publicity shot from Fallen Angel?

Nope. Fox has provided the original promotional photo due to people complaining it's not Tierney...

If they didn't want to get complaints that it doesn't look like Tierney, then maybe avoid messing around with the photo until the image almost doesn't resemble her. Why give her blonde hair, for instance?

That cover makes it look as though Tierney and Andrews have been frozen in a meat freezer. And for some reason they've erased most of the shadows and contours from her face, making it look flat.
