Re: 2013 Criterion Forum Awards
It seems to be present in all versions of the film. In other words, it's built into the film, not a technical glitch in Criterion's release or something they would or could fix.Jean-Luc Garbo wrote:SECOND-MOST DISAPPOINTING RELEASE, The Ballad of Narayama for its reported technical glitch and lack of extras.

Having now been through the rest of the year's releases, I've changed several of my votes. If anyone needs to cheat for their own voting purposes, here's the answer key.

SECOND-MOST DISAPPOINTING RELEASE
3:10 to Yuma. I wound up liking this movie a lot but the supplements were thin as heck and it wasn't even at the $30 price point. This movie could easily sustain a nice scholarly commentary.
BEST THREAD
It may be self advertisement, but I was really please with how the Animation List thread turned out. Outside of that, my two picks both turn out to have been 2012 threads, but I want to rep them anyway- Dressed to Kill, Silence of the Lambs, and Trans Representations and Pakula, Coppola, and the 1970s Cinema of Paranoia are both the kind of threads that draw me most to this forum- they help me uncover meaning in my own mind, which is even more pleasant than having it uncovered for you.
MEMBER OF THE YEAR
This is always hard. Let's say Knives, without whom this board just wouldn't be the same.
