Documentary filmmakers André and Rémy have found an ideal subject in Ben. He is witty, sophisticated, intelligent, well liked—and a serial killer. As André and Rémy document Ben’s routines, they become increasingly entwined in his vicious program, sacrificing their objectivity and their morality. Controversial winner of the International Critics’ Prize at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival, Man Bites Dog stunned audiences worldwide with its unflinching imagery and biting satire of media violence.

Release Notes on Restoration
Man Bites Dog
Man Bites Dog is presented "pillarboxed" in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.66:1. This new digital transfer, supervised by filmmaker André Bonzel, was created on a high-definition Spirit Datacine from a 35mm duplicate negative. The soundtrack was mastered from a 35mm positive print. To further enhance the image, the MTI Digital Restoration System was used to remove instances of dirt, debris, and scratches. The soundtrack was mastered at 24-bit.
