A rumination on identity and loyalty, both political and personal, Ride with the Devil is a provocative challenge to preconceptions about America’s bloodiest conflict.

Ride with the Devil
Ride with the Devil is presented in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Black bars at the top and bottom of the screen are normal for this format. Director Ang Lee and director of photography Frederick Elmes supervised and approved this new high-definition digital transfer, which was scanned on a Spirt 4K Datacine from the 35mm interpositive and the original camera negative. Thousands of instances of dirt, debris, scratches, splices, warps, jitter, and flicker were manually removed using MTI’s DRS system and Pixel Farm’s PFClean system, while Digital Vision’s DVNR system was used for small dirt, grain, and noise reduction.
The surround soundtrack was remastered at 24-bit from the original stems and new recordings using Pro Tools HD.
